About Me

Let me introduce myself!

Hi and thanks so much for visiting my website! I hope the information here will be helpful to you, and you come back on a regular basis. I want to tell you a little bit about myself, and I look forward to hearing from you so I can learn about you as well!

My name is Reena Vokoun, and I’m the Founder and CEO of Passion Fit. I’m a proud mom of two boys, and I’m happily married to my husband. I’m the youngest of four siblings, daughter of immigrant parents and a first-generation-born Indian-American, who grew up in the Midwest, has lived on the East and West Coasts and is a Californian at heart.

My lifelong passion for health, wellness and fitness and desire to help others, is what led me to follow my heart, make a bold move and leave corporate America and my amazing job at Google to become an entrepreneur and start this company. I have 20+ years of experience working in the digital advertising, media and tech industries in sales, marketing and business development roles for Google, Reebok, Grokker, Yahoo, GE, CNET and Passion Fit. I have a BBA in Marketing and Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MS in Advertising and Communications from Boston University.

I have 20+ years of experience as a fitness/dance instructor, I’m a former high school cheerleader and co-captain of my high school dance team, and I taught fitness classes on campus throughout college. In addition, I was a U.S. silver medalist in the ESPN National Fitness Championships, and I’ve completed a marathon, two half marathons and several 10k and 5k races.

Today, I’m an expert on consumer and corporate wellness and work with individuals, companies, non-profits, schools, universities and the media on how to incorporate fitness, nutrition, mindfulness and professional strengths into their lives, in order to maximize productivity, create work-life balance, achieve personal and professional success, and lead a healthy lifestyle.

I’m an Entrepreneurship Advisory Alumni Board member and student mentor for the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business, Alumni Council member and student mentor for Boston University, and I’ve been a Women in Management (WIM) facilitator for the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. In addition, I’m a brand ambassador for the American Council on Exercise, was selected as one of LA Weekly’s Top 10 Health and Fitness Leaders of 2023, and was nominated to be a candidate for Woman of the Year Silicon Valley, where I fundraised tens of thousands of dollars for blood cancer research for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

I’m also a TEDx and keynote speaker, best-selling and award-winning author, TV show host and contributor and marketer. I’m a member of IDEA Fitness and certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE), the Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), the American Heart Association (AHA) and Gallup, as a Health Coach, Group Fitness Professional, Nutrition Specialist, Yoga/Mindfulness Specialist, Behavior Change Specialist and Employee Wellbeing and Professional Strengths-Based Coach.

My Indian-American upbringing, the fact that I’m a mom and wife, and my academic and professional backgrounds, are major influencers in my unique approach to Passion Fit. My own experiences during my academic and professional careers and witnessing others during those years, showed me how much overwork, stress and a lack of work-life balance can impact your health and life.

Therefore, I’m passionate about educating others and helping them take control of their lives in these areas. My philosophies on health, wellness and fitness are holistic, combine the best of the East and West and incorporate considerations for your family and career. My products, services, content, events and business partnerships are consistently met with a strong work ethic, positive results, high integrity, creativity, strategic thinking, collaboration, authenticity, passion and professionalism.
